Week of the Young Child Deadline
This is the deadline to get us your information or brochures to include in the 2,000 bags we hand out during Week of the Young Child to preschool aged children in our community.
To have your organization’s resources included in the bags, please have 2,000 items ready and to us by today and provide a volunteer to help us stuff bags on Wednesday, March 19th. You can find more information on the bag stuffing here.

Week of the Young Child Bag Stuffing
About: Come help us stuff 2,000 bags with books and resources. We give the bags out during Week of the Young Child to preschool aged children in our town.
Location: Gym at Pete’s Place - used to be called Ray Bjork - at 1600 8th Ave; Helena MT
Audience: Everyone is welcome!

Week of the Young Child Kickoff Event
Location: Lewis and Clark Library
Audience: Children 0-5 years old and their caregivers
Cost: Free
About: Free fun activities, giveaways and resources.
No need to sign up ahead of time, just show up and join the fun.
Self-Care Sunday for Loss Parents
You are still a parent even if you can’t hold your little one. There are many people who have experienced loss on their parenting journey and we want to include all parents/caregivers in our Week of the Young Child.
While the title says “loss parents” this event is open to families and any loved ones who want to participate.
We will paint rocks in honor of our little ones and then you can take them home to have a sweet reminder of your little one(s).

Music Monday
About: Make some noise for Week of the Young Child’s Music Monday! Join Joslyn Dollar with Music Together Helena Valley for a fun and engaging music and movement class.
Location: Large Community Room at the Lewis & Clark Library; 120 S. Last Change Gulch, Helena MT
Audience: Children ages 0-5 with their caregiver
Capacity: 20 children with their caregivers
Cost: Free
RSVP: Please let Maureen or Joslyn know you’ll be attending so we know how many to expect. If there is space and you just show up, you are more than welcome!

Reading in the Rotunda
About: Please join us for Reading in the Rotunda during Week of the Young Child. We will have fun guest story readers for preschool children and a resource fair where you can learn and explore services available to Helena families.
